Türkiye’s Lake Kellah Dries Up Again

Lake Kellah, about 5 kilometers away from the Ulaş district of Türkiye’s Sivas province, has completely dried up this year due to high temperatures, as it did in previous years, and the salts that collapsed to the bottom with the evaporation of the water covered the area in white.

“Our lake, which was full of water until about 10 years ago, has been drying up every summer during these months for the last 10 years. We have a lot of water on Tecer Mountain. The water extracted from there can be given to this lake. It can be restored to its former beauty,” said Metin Köse, a local.
