Türkiye’s Ölüdeniz Sees Surge in Chinese Tourists

Ölüdeniz, a popular tourist destination in Türkiye, has seen a rise in visitors, particularly Chinese tourists, driven by the October 1st holiday marking the anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. This surge is attributed to Chinese tourists seeking to maximize their holiday with trips both locally and abroad.

Chinese social media posts have boosted Ölüdeniz’s international appeal, especially since famous Chinese figures Ning Jing and Yang Yang paraglided there in 2015. Paragliding pilot Zafer Şekerci highlighted the growing interest, saying, “Chinese tourists’ social media posts help promote Ölüdeniz worldwide.”
