In 2011, Türkiye’s Ordu introduced a cable car system that has since become a major attraction for both local residents and tourists. The cable car, which ascends to an elevation of 530 meters at Boztepe, offers not only spectacular views of Ordu but also serves as a quick and convenient means of transportation, reaching the summit in just 7 minutes. Impressively, the cable car has transported approximately 740,000 passengers in the first 10 months of 2023, surpassing the populations of 50 provinces in Türkiye. Residents and visitors alike have expressed their delight in the experience of ascending to Boztepe via the cable car and praised the city’s observation terrace, which has been enhanced by the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality.
