Türkiye’s Samsun is set to become a key industrial and technological hub with major investments from Türkiye’s Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE) and Chinese automaker Chery. Aerial footage captured the designated sites for these factories, highlighting the city’s growing appeal to investors.
AK Party Samsun Provincial Chairman Mehmet Köse confirmed that Chery’s $1 billion investment will create 5,000 jobs and produce 200,000 vehicles annually, while MKE’s defense industry facility will employ 2,000 people with a ₺2 billion investment. Köse emphasized that these projects will drive further industrial growth in the region.
The 1,200-acre site in Samsun’s New Organized Industrial Zone has been allocated for Chery, while MKE will operate from the former Çarşamba Sugar Factory area. Officials expect the investments to materialize swiftly, boosting employment and economic development.
