Türkiye’s Süphan Mountain Merge into Postcard Wonders

Located 25 kilometers north of Lake Van, eastern Türkiye, the Sarısu Plain, nestled at 1,780 meters altitude, offers picturesque vistas as it harmonizes with the snow-capped Süphan Mountain. The plain boasts shallow lakes, expansive reeds, and lush wet meadows along Süphan Mountain’s northern slopes, serving as a habitat for diverse bird species. Notably, the region is a haven for cranes, speckled herons, and unique endemic plants, enhancing its visual allure against the backdrop of Süphan Mountain’s snowy peaks.
