Türkiye’s Uchisar Castle Draws 472,000 Tourists in 2024

 

Uchisar Castle, the tallest natural structure in Cappadocia, attracted 472,000 visitors in 2024, marking a significant increase from 300,000 in 2023. Standing at 179 meters, the castle is a major tourist destination in the region, known for offering panoramic views of Cappadocia’s iconic fairy chimneys and valleys.

Carved from tuff rock during the Roman period, the castle served as a shelter during the Roman, Seljuk, Ottoman, and early Republic eras. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of landmarks such as Göreme, Avanos, and various valleys, making it a must-see spot in UNESCO-listed Cappadocia. Open year-round, Uchisar Castle continues to captivate both local and international tourists.
