Elazığ’s exclusive ‘Coffee Cup’ Museum, the sole one in Türkiye, is gearing up to enter the Guinness World Records with its impressive collection of 5,000 artifacts. Founded by Ahmet Bulut, President of Elazığ Tourism, Culture, and Promotion Association, the museum opened its doors to the public on October 29, 2023, coinciding with the Republic’s 100th anniversary.
Situated in the historic Harput District, the museum has become a popular attraction, featuring cups from notable figures like Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and Ara Güler, alongside historical items like a cup sent from the UK to the Ottoman Empire in 1737. Expressing their initial goal of 2023 cups, founder Ahmet Bulut proudly revealed the museum’s current collection surpassing 5,000 cups, emphasizing the ambition to secure a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
