Twelve people were injured after a fire broke out on the faulty engine of a passenger airplane belonging to American Airlines that took off from Colorado Springs, USA, with 172 passengers and 6 crew members and made an emergency landing in Denver instead of its planned destination of Dallas.
Passengers were evacuated using emergency slides and over-wing exit doors as smoke rose from the engine.
The fire was quickly extinguished by airport personnel.
It was reported that the passengers would be taken to Dallas on a different plane.
