Twin Earthquakes Strike China’s Qinghai Province

Two consecutive earthquakes, measuring 5.7 and 5.8 in magnitude, rocked northwestern China’s Qinghai province just 18 minutes apart. According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, the stronger tremor struck at a depth of 10 kilometers in Xinghai county. Authorities immediately activated emergency protocols, dispatching over 600 rescue personnel, 190 fire trucks, and search dogs to the affected region. A preliminary investigation team is currently assessing the epicenter, though no casualties or major structural damage have been reported so far.
