Twitter auctions office items after financial crisis allegations

Social networking site Twitter, which came to the fore with financial crisis allegations after it was bought by billionaire businessman Elon Musk, put up office items, such as a big bird statue that is the logo of the company, for sale through an online auction that twenty thousand people participated.

Among 631 items, a blue screen with a bird logo was offered $17,000, the bird statue was offered $16,000, an “@” formed flowerpot was offered $4,100 and an Italian-made 5 espresso was offered $11,000. The company also put office furniture up for sale.

Twitter had announced last December that they would auction some items in the San Francisco office, but stated that it was not related to the financial situation of the company.
