Typhoon Hinnamnor in Japan

Typhoon Hinnamnor, approaching Japan’s Okinawa Island, caused heavy winds and rain in the region. The atmospheric pressure caused by the typhoon brought heavy rains and winds to many parts of Okinawa, while the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) announced that the typhoon was moving southwest at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour over 250 kilometers south of Miyakojima Island today. Hearing that the typhoon’s effects would worsen starting tonight, residents emptied the market shelves in preparation for being stranded at home. Local authorities urged residents to stay away from risky areas.
