Typhoon Khanun, which has been effective in Japan, South Korea and Thailand for about 2 weeks, hit Russia’s Primorye region this time. 4,368 houses, 5,654 plots, and 7 apartments were flooded due to the flood. Transportation between 28 settlements became unavailable. The Ministry of Emergency Situations sent search and rescue teams to the region and started work against the flood. No casualties were reported.
It was stated that the flood in Ussuriysk, the second-largest city in the region, was the worst in the last 10 years and affected 35 to 40 percent of the city.
