Typhoon Mawar Causes Major Power Outages in Guam

Typhoon Mawar hit Guam, an autonomous territory of the USA, causing widespread power outages in homes and businesses. The storm, with winds reaching 230 kilometers per hour, is one of the strongest to hit the US. Mawar is expected to strengthen further before weakening. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Guam warned that electricity and water may be unavailable for days or weeks. Currently, only 1,000 households have electricity, and there have been no reported casualties.
