Typhoon Narra has unleashed severe floods and landslides across southern China and Vietnam, claiming one life and forcing tens of thousands into emergency shelters. In China’s Guangxi region alone, 54,000 people were evacuated as the storm pushed 15 rivers above warning levels, damaged 10,000 hectares of farmland, and left 55,000 families without power. Across the border, torrential rains of up to 300 millimeters in Vietnam triggered fatal landslides and submerged entire districts, forcing the evacuation of over 4,300 households. The relentless floodwaters have brought daily life to a standstill, severely disrupting local transportation, agriculture, and tourism across the hardest-hit areas.
