The Typhoon Nesat caused flooding in many regions of Taiwan. Eight people who were stuck in a hotel in the Yilan district were rescued by boats. Heavy rains also caused landslides on the Yangming Mountain in the region. The residents were warned not to go out as the torrential rains continued.
The General Directorate of Meteorology stated that 902 millimeters of precipitation has fallen on Datong town of Yilan district since yesterday.
