Typhoon Toraji Hits Philippines, 2,500 Villages Evacuated

Typhoon Toraji made landfall in the Philippines today, prompting evacuation orders for 2,500 villages. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported winds up to 130 km/h as the storm struck near Dilasag in Aurora. Flights, ferries, and schools in affected areas were canceled or closed, with extensive material damage captured on video. The country is still recovering from Typhoon Yinxing, which struck last week, causing one fatality and forcing nearly 27,000 people to evacuate.
