Ukraine has blown up a strategically important bridge over the Seim River in Russia’s Kursk region. According to Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk, a supply route for the Russian army was targeted.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the attack was carried out with a Western-made, likely US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system and killed volunteers who were helping evacuate civilians.
The Ukrainian government says it has taken control of 82 settlements in the region since August 6, covering an area of 1,150 square kilometers.
