The Security Service of Ukraine said in a statement that a Russian assassination team was detained that planned to kill Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov and senior officials in the Ukrainian army. A reward of 100 to 150 thousand US dollars was promised for each person planned to be killed, the statement read.
According to reports, the team entered Ukraine through Belarus, and they were carrying Russian passports.
