Ukraine Launches UAV Attack on Air Base in Saratov, Russia

The Ukrainian army carried out an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack on the Engels air base, where Tupolev Tu-160 nuclear-capable heavy strategic bombers are stored, in the Saratov region of Russia.

Saratov Governor Roman Busargin announced that 30 houses in the area were damaged and residents were evacuated.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that 54 Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Saratov region.

A local state of emergency was declared in Engels.
