Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said 201 Ukrainian military experts have been deployed to the Middle East to help counter Iranian Shahed drones. Speaking in London, UK, he said the teams are heading to countries including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait at the request of partners such as the USA.
Zelensky said Ukraine developed low-cost methods to intercept the drones and warned that threats linked to Iran are not distant for Europe. He added that similar defense systems could be expanded to protect infrastructure and trade routes in the region and beyond.
