Ukraine’s Grain Ship Reaches Istanbul

The cargo ship ‘Resilient Africa,’ carrying Ukrainian grain and utilizing a newly established “humanitarian corridor,” has anchored off the Bosphorus, Istanbul. This marks the first use of the corridor, created by Ukraine in response to pressure from Russia’s blockade of Ukrainian ports after Ukraine withdrew from a grain agreement.

The ship entered the Black Sea from Ukrainian territorial waters, crossed into Romania’s and then Turkey’s territorial waters via Bulgaria, and is now en route to Israel. It carries grain intended for African and Asian markets, including wheat destined for Egypt and Israel.
