Ukrainian women are on the move in desperate situation under the shadow of war while International Women’s Day is celebrated with various activities in many countries. Women fleeing the conflicts in the country with their limited belongings and children, come to Lviv, a partially safe city in Ukraine. The desperation of millions of women who had to leave their husbands and homes can be seen on their faces.
A Ukrainian mother Olena Soloshenko thanked those who helped Ukraine in her statement. “Unfortunately, war has come to our country,” Soloshenko said. “Our hearts are breaking. Thank you to those who pray all over the world. We are grateful to those who extended a helping hand to Ukraine. We want help. We are a strong nation. We are in our own land. We are confident that our country will win because this is our home. I ask everyone to pray for our children to grow up peacefully. Thank you to those who support Ukraine,” she added.
