Ukrainians bid goodbye in tears as they flee war

Thousands of Ukrainians fleeing Russian attacks have been flocking to the border gates for days. International aid organizations and civil defense teams waiting at the border come to the aid of civilians entering from the Romanian border. The tiredness of the children, who had to walk for miles in the freezing cold, was reflected in the cameras. The Ukrainians left their country in tears.

Turkey’s civil aid organization AFAD official Oguz Ilkbahar stated that they were at the border crossing for humanitarian aid to people fleeing the war. “We are providing these aids to meet the basic needs of people. AFAD has been here since the second day of the war. We came here for humanitarian aid, and we delivered our aid trucks to the other side. We help people all over the world. Turkish citizens are our priority, but we help everyone regardless of their nationality,” Ilkbahar said.
