After Russia’s withdrawal from Ukraine’s vicinity of Kyiv, Ukrainian forces regained control in many areas. The main road that connecting the capital, Kyiv, with Zhytomyr, bears the traces of violent clashes. While the bridges on the road were collapsed, many tanks and armored vehicles belonging to the Russian army were destroyed by the Ukrainian soldiers. Returning to the area where the Russian soldiers had withdrawn, Ukrainian civilians posed for “victory” by coming to a destroyed tank with the “V” symbol on it.
