UN Says 127 Civilians Killed in Israeli Strikes on Lebanon Since Ceasefire

The United Nations Human Rights Office reported that at least 127 civilians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon since a ceasefire was declared on November 27, 2024. Speaking in Geneva, UN spokesperson Thameen El-Kheetan said Israel continues to escalate strikes, damaging civilian areas and raising the risk of a wider conflict.

The ceasefire ended 14 months of clashes between Israel and Hezbollah, but Israeli forces have continued sporadic attacks, claiming they target “Hezbollah threats.” The UN called for an investigation and urged all sides to respect the ceasefire.
