Customs officers at Bulgaria’s Kaptan Andreevo Border Gate seized 229,980 euros and 20,000 pounds hidden in three trucks en route to Türkiye. In one case, 159,980 euros were found concealed in a truck’s refrigerator and heating ducts. Another truck had 70,000 euros wrapped in a curtain, while a third carried 20,000 pounds hidden in a refrigerator compartment. The undeclared money was left with in Bulgaria after not being declared at Türkiye’s Kapıkule Border Gate. Authorities have launched an investigation under the supervision of the Haskovo Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
