UNESCO registers saudi cultural area Hima to the world heritage list

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) added the Hima Cultural Area in the Najran region of Saudi Arabia to the World Heritage List at the 44th session held in Fuzhou, China. Located in an arid and mountainous region in the southwestern part of Saudi Arabia, the Hima Cultural Area contains a substantial collection of rock art images depicting hunting, fauna, flora and lifestyles in a cultural continuity of 7,000 years.
