United Healthcare CEO’s Killer Caught in Pennsylvania, US

Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old who killed Brian Thompson, the CEO of United Healthcare, the largest private health insurance company in the US, was caught by police yesterday after he was spotted while eating at a fast food restaurant in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Police reported that Mangione had handwritten documents on him that revealed the motive for the murder and his mindset, including a three-page handwritten manifesto that criticizes the US healthcare system and United Healthcare. Additionally, an undetectable gun crafted with various parts, clothing and a mask similar to those he wore during the assassination, fake IDs and a large amount of cash.

Luigi Mangione is the grandson of Nicholas Mangione, the founder of Lorien Health Services.
