The condition of Marck Dick, the US mountaineer who was a part of a team that descended into Morca Cave in Türkiye for mapping and similar studies and suffered gastric bleeding, has been stated to have improved. The climber is receiving drugs and serum treatment from the doctors who descended into the cave at a depth of 1,200 meters.
Reminding that it has been three days since Dick’s condition emerged, Geophysical Engineer Turgay Gönülalan said that his condition would be critical if the bleeding is not stopped. But now, Gönülalan says he is hopeful that Dick will get well and climb on his own in a few days.
Morca Cave is the third-deepest cave in Türkiye’s Anamur district and is located at an altitude of 2,100 meters.
