US Elections: Republicans lead majority in House of Representatives

After the elections for the lower and upper wings of the Congress in the USA, the vote counting process has come to an end. According to unofficial results, Republicans won one more district in California in the race to the lower house of Congress and the 435-seat House of Representatives, reaching 218 seats. Thus, the Republicans managed to gain a majority in the House of Representatives. While the Democrats have won 210 seats so far, vote counting continues in some states.

In the US, the majority of the lower house of Congress passed to the Republicans in the House of Representatives, while the Democrats managed to stay in the majority in the upper house of the Senate.
