A US warplane crashed in the Yellow Sea, located between the Chinese mainland and the Korean Peninsula. According to military sources, the F-16-type fighter jet had taken off from the Kunsan Air Force Base in the south of Seoul for a training flight. The pilot managed to jump from the plane before it crashed and was rescued alive by the South Korean coast guard.
A large-scale investigation has been launched into the incident.
