US Increases Reward for Information on Maduro to $50 Million

The US government has doubled the reward for information leading to the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, raising it from $25 million to $50 million. This increase follows allegations of Maduro’s ties to criminal organizations, including the Tren de Aragua and the Sinaloa Cartel. Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil condemned the move as “political propaganda,” accusing the US of attempting to influence Venezuela’s internal affairs. This reward follows previous offers, including a $15 million reward in 2020 and $25 million in January 2025 after Maduro’s third term began.
