US Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Landing Gear Failure

A Boeing 757 cargo aircraft operated by FedEx experienced a malfunction shortly after take-off from Chattanooga Airport in Tennessee, USA, bound for Memphis. The cargo plane had to return to the airport and made an emergency landing on its fuselage because the landing gear failed to deploy, resulting in sparks due to friction with the runway. The Chattanooga Fire Department reported that the aircraft, carrying three crew members, came to a safe stop off the runway, with no fire but some engine smoke. Subsequently, the airport’s main runway was closed.
