US, Saudi Arabia Sign Historic $142B Defense Deal

During US President Donald Trump’s first official visit to Saudi Arabia, the two countries signed the largest arms and defense services agreement in history, valued at $142 billion. The deal was finalized at a ceremony in Riyadh attended by Trump and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The agreement includes advanced combat systems, missile defense, naval and border security, and communication upgrades. It also covers training, logistics, and the development of Saudi military health and academic institutions.

In addition to defense, the two sides signed agreements in energy, mining, healthcare, customs, justice, and counterterrorism, including FBI cooperation. Saudi Arabia also pledged $600 billion in long-term investment in the US.

The White House described the agreements as “historic and transformative,” marking a “new golden age” in US-Saudi relations.
