US Sends Third Aircraft Carrier to Middle East

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the arrival of the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier in the Indian Ocean on April 23. This marks the third aircraft carrier the United States has recently deployed to the Middle East. It follows the positioning of the USS Gerald R. Ford in the Red Sea and the USS Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea. Those previous two carriers were notably utilized in recent military operations directed at Iran. CENTCOM confirmed the latest deployment by releasing an official photo of the vessel navigating through its new area of responsibility.
