US Strikes Kill Five in Pacific Anti-Drug Operations

The US military carried out two strikes in the Pacific Ocean targeting boats allegedly involved in drug smuggling, killing five people.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the operations were ordered by President Donald Trump and described the suspects as “narco-terrorists.” He added that such missions would continue daily to combat what he called “the Al Qaeda of our hemisphere.”

US forces have also conducted similar raids in the Caribbean, where 32 people have been killed in recent anti-drug operations.
