According to AirVisual, an independent provider of global air pollution information, the level of dangerously small particles known as PM2.5 was measured at 266 micrograms per cubic meter in Hanoi, Vietnam, this morning, placing Hanoi at the top of their list of the most polluted cities.
Government officials in Vietnam, who have been drawing attention to the dense smog in Hanoi in recent weeks, have announced that they will encourage the use of electric vehicles to alleviate the problem. The city aims to have at least 50 percent of buses and all taxis be electric by 2030.
