Residents of a lush village in northern Turkish province of Samsun have built a 65-meter-long suspension bridge to help locals cross a valley and reach their neighborhood mosque. Spearheaded by resident Selahattin Tekin and constructed with community support, the towering walkway now attracts both curious tourists and daily worshippers. Tekin shared his joy in watching the daily foot traffic from his home, stating, “I sit at home and watch the people coming and going. I am very happy when I see them.” The grassroots project has successfully revived community life, with Tekin proudly noting that evening mosque attendance has surged from just a single person to over two dozen.
