Wall Housing Localizer To Be Removed at Muan International Airport

South Korea’s Ministry of Transport reported that the concrete wall that a Boeing 737-800 passenger plane crashed into at high speed after landing on the fuselage at Muan International Airport on December 29 will be removed from the end of the runway and the localizer on it will be re-installed on a fragile structure.

South Korea’s Ministry of Transport was heavily criticized due to the concrete wall, as it is believed to have caused more deaths.

While 179 people lost their lives in the accident, only two cabin crew members survived with injuries.
