Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky touched upon the telephone call that US President Donald Trump had with Russian President Vladimir Putin and then with him yesterday in his statement to reporters at the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant, which he visited before attending the Munich Security Conference meeting to be held tomorrow in Germany.
The Ukrainian leader, who stated that Trump conveyed his wish to end the war in the one-hour-long call with him, stated that Putin was trying to resolve the Russia-Ukraine War directly with the US without the participation of Ukraine and that they would not accept any bilateral agreement reached without the participation of Ukraine.
Zelensky also stated that the European Union countries should also be represented at the table in the negotiations regarding the war since Ukraine is a “part of Europe” and will join the European Union as well.
