Romania’s “White Flowers” festival celebrated cherished Christmas and New Year traditions at Bucharest’s Village Museum. Folk artists nationwide gathered for vibrant performances of traditional songs and dances, expressing hopes for a safe and prosperous New Year. Colorful costumes and lively goat dances conveyed wishes for a fruitful harvest, while the bear dance, with painted faces and masks, symbolized protection against malevolent forces. Accompanied by rhythmic drumming, these displays embodied prayers for blessings and warding off evil spirits.
