World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus shared a footage of the destruction in Shifa Hospital, where Israeli forces retreated after a two-week siege.
Emphasizing that the efforts of WHO and its partners to support the revival of basic services in Shifa were in vain, Ghebreyesus said that people were once again deprived of access to life-saving health services and called for the protection of remaining health facilities and humanitarian workers in Gaza, unhindered access to humanitarian aid throughout the Gaza Strip, and a ceasefire on behalf of WHO.
