Wildfire broke out near Turkey’s one of the biggest lakes, Lake Eber. The fire emerged as the reeds caught fire because of the long-lasted drought and other environmental effects. The fact that the fire emerged in the dried areas and the ground had a swamping affect, caused firetrucks to fail intervening in the fire, resulting in the fire quickly spreading to wider areas.
The firefight teams managed to extinguish the fire in 6 hours of effort. The smoke could be seen from the near districts, Çay and Bolvadin.
