Wildfire in Southern Türkiye Burns for Over 24 Hours

 

A massive forest fire in the Antakya district of Hatay, southern Türkiye, has raged for more than 24 hours. Fueled by strong winds, the flames spread from Karaali to Alahan.

Emergency teams from 16 provinces are battling the blaze with 674 vehicles and nearly 2,000 personnel on land and by air. Local resident Merve Güler, in tears, said she hopes the fire is extinguished soon.
