Wildfires Destroy Houses in US State of Georgia

Rapidly spreading wildfires across the US state of Georgia have devastated 27,000 acres of land and destroyed at least 54 homes. In southeastern Brantley County, a severe blaze quickly consumed 5,000 acres, leaving around 1,000 additional residences under immediate threat. Meanwhile, the Pineland Road fire in nearby Clinch County has scorched roughly 16,500 acres, prompting urgent civilian evacuations as over 100 firefighters battle the expanding flames. In response to the escalating crisis, Governor Brian Kemp has declared a state of emergency across 91 counties while extensive containment efforts continue.
