Wildfires Ravage Western U.S. and Canada

 

The western United States and Canada are grappling with severe wildfires. In Oregon, 24 large fires have burned 240,000 acres, with significant damage in Baker and Malheur Counties from the Durkee fire. California is battling 12 major fires, including the Lake fire, which has scorched 38,664 acres, and the Hawarden fire, which has damaged seven houses and injured two people, leading to over 1,500 evacuations.

In Alberta, Canada, wildfires in Jasper National Park have forced approximately 25,000 people to evacuate. The province is dealing with over 170 active wildfires. Authorities are working around the clock to control the flames and protect residents and visitors.
