Winter Festival held in Turkey’s Ordu city

With the arrival of the winter season, the Winter Festival was held in Perşembe Plateau located at Ordu city, Turkey. While organized for the second time by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality and Aybastı Municipality, many people from Ordu and surrounding cities participated in the festival, despite the cold. In the festival, the participants were danced Horon accompanied by drums and shrill pipes and skied with handmade sleds. Also, local products were offered to the participants, and off-road, canoe and wrestling shows were held at the festival.

Meanwhile, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Hilmi Güler noted that the plateau is visited by local and foreign tourists in all four seasons. Emphasizing that it was a very nice festival, Güler said that the organization was completed successfully and the festival will continue in other districts this year.
