A nationwide demonstration was held in France to protest the government’s planned alterations on the pension system that aim to delay the retirement age from 62 to 64, until 2030. Nearly a million demonstrators, consisting of workers in all kinds of sectors, marched against the decision in various parts of the country.
The transportation in the country was disrupted as a result of the demonstrations.
