In the South Asian country of Bangladesh, people form long queues to work in daily chores in return for a small amount of money. People gather at certain points in big cities, especially in the capital Dhaka, to get hired. Construction workers, carpenters, cleaners, painters, porters wait in hope until 11:00 in the markets that are set up every morning at 06:00. Many hired early in the morning can make 500 Taka, about $6, while the others earn lower wage afternoon. Many of them cannot find a job after waiting for hours, and return to their homes. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, they get hired only 1-2 days a week. These works do not get any support from the government.
