World’s Oldest and Smallest Mammal Seen in Adana

Batodonoides Vanhouteni, known as the oldest and smallest mammal that evolved 53 million years ago, was seen in the Feke district of Türkiye’s Adana province.

This animal looks like a mouse, but it is not one. It is harmless. When you see such creatures, it is necessary to report them. It was seen in the world 53 million years ago. It was detected in America in 1998 and also spotted in our country,” said Tevfik Yüceli, a veterinarian.
